Lyndsey Sciple

My name is Lyndsey Sciple and I am a Texas native. I just moved from Seattle to Raleigh, NC last year.  I absolutely love traveling, so this last move was extremely fun for me because my husband and I drove all the way from Washington to here, through 11 states.  Most of it was boring and there was not much to see because we took a more Southern route, so there was a lot of nothing throughout large parts of the way.  I still enjoyed it to the max because I saw mountains and hills I have never seen, that almost looked alien to me, it was great! From the Washington mountains we traveled through just a tiny tip of Oregon and stopped at a gas station full of  people with tons of peircings and tattoos, which was pretty neat. We went through Idaho and experienced Shoshoni and Twin Falls, and then stopped in Boise, which as we approached you could see a giant pollution cloud over head, but was a really neat city with a totally different Southwestern fashion statement.  Salt Lake City, Utah was beautiful with it's red canyons, and drove through Wyoming with mountains that looked like hills covered in cheap carpet, Went through Colorado at night passing by a giant Lincoln monument we never knew existed.  We also stopped in Boulder Colorado, a gorgeous and active college town and had a nice bite to eat. We drove south and stayed in Amarillo, TX which felt like home as soon as we crossed over the border, and really everything is bigger! Then we headed through Oklahoma, and passed through lovely Oklahoma City.  Arkansas was not much to speak of where we drove through, but I know of some great places there, and then to Tennesee, which I was stunned by the beautiful tree covered mountains, now my favorite ones! Then to North Carolina, our new home!  I love it here, and it feels so much more like home than Seattle ever did!
